actually i’ve been home a couple of weeks… been around na nga actually… i got in davao thursday october 20… since then i’ve been to bukidnon, cagayan de oro, back to bukidnon and now in davao again…

iniisip ko na itinerary ng davao adventure…

ano ba mga kailangan makita sa davao?

beaches (madaming beaches! =>)

philippine eagle

orchid gardens

night life (meron ba? i need art’s help on this)

malls (para kay lei)

mountains (caves, waterfalls, log cabin… etc)

island hopping? (magkaiba pa ba to sa beaches?)

unfortunately dear friends hindi ko kaya ang island buenavista

(kasi $2500 a night - gag!)

yung pearl farm, pwede lang kung kkb kasi mahina ang 3thou per person (at 7 kayo!)

pero marami pang ibang resorts…lol… =>

ang sad… =< dapat nasa davao na ako today.. as in booked my flight and all tapos kahapon i had to rebook it to thursday morning… sabi nga ni mama ang tagal daw… i was hoping pa naman na i get to stay in davao one whole month…

as it turns out, kailangan i-revise yung mga paper so i guess dito ko na din gagawin yung case study… at least pag uwi ko tapos na lahat… bakasyon grande na…(hmm… sa grande din siguro ako magbabakasyon => pero have to visit bukidnon kc it’s under construction and i wanna see it)

i saw jo kahapon! => after sobrang tagal… as in midsems pa yata last… and just when i least expected it… nagkita kami sa waiting shed sa harap ng law… tapos na BI nya ako into no longer attending a bday party to watch the corpse bride sa gateway (fun movie)… sobrang dami kong missed calls pati msgs… tumawag pa daw sa bahay… oooops!

hay! back to work na kika para matapos na

hmmm…

for the last few days (since sunday) we have been staying in a boys dorm… as if that wasn’t weird enough, it was also a korean boys dorm…

so ano nga ba ang differences and similarities…

well, first of all, you can’t go around in your undies…hehehe =p

hindi pala first yon… yun lang pala ang difference

ay! tapos pala yung food syempre puro korean… kimchi anyone?  => sobrang hindi talaga ako mahilig sa spicy food… mababa ang tolerance… buti nalang kumakain na ako ngayon ng veggies (actually, mahilig na ako ngayon sa salads pero mostly kung vinaigrette yung dressing or none at all -mas healthy naman yon dba?)… buti nalang may mcdo…at pizzza hut (yes, kumakain narin ako ng pizza =>)…

saka yung utensils flat metal chopsticks… this is a bit trickier to use than the regular square or round wooden ones…sanayan lang siguro…

hay! saka na kwento… haven’t had sleep in three days… tapos kailangan daw i-revise yung paper (may laban daw for best integ…feeling talaga…) tapos pinapaulit din yung project proposal… si sir sammie nalang pala ang wala pang comment…sana yung paper sa cd163 (people’s initiative for micro-economic enterprise…sheesh naman na course title yan) Botika Binhi! => ok na

parang metro manila na telephone directory ang kapal nung paper…

anyway, magagalit na si mama have to sleep…been up since tuesday around 7am tapos malapit na mag-gabi uli ng thursday ngayon … cringe! natulog pala ako onti kanina 12mn until 3am kasi sabi ni mama =>…ayaw daw nya ako umuwi na may sakit…

uwi na ako sa sunday…=>

pano kaya yon? monday pa kami mags-submit ng papers…

tapos may case study pa pala akong hindi nasisimulan… sa davao ko na kaya gawin yon? hmmmm…

excited na ako… m teammates are joining me sa november =>… sana matuloy sila…

you come home after long day at work… kahit na sunday…its raining really hard and you’re tired (but not hungry because if there’s something na laging marami sa office, it’s food)…

you open the door… and a sweetie greets you enthusiastically… somebody’s sure glad that you’re home…=>

hmmm…smells good at mukhang bagong gupit…

hugs hugs

then you settle on a sofa with your sweetie’s head on you lap… hay! sarap ng buhay…

you nuzzle your head close and then you feel it… a slight tingle…then you start to laugh…hugging the sweetheart again but keeping your head just out of reach…

the sweetie becomes more playful…nose pushing closer to your face… then you see it… the pink tougue trying to lick your face…

the tougue quickly touches your lips…

then you realize, you just had your first kiss

SUN-day…

sunday din pero it was also Sampung Ulirang Nakatatanda Awards day… nag volunteer kami sa office na tutulong… usherettes… bakit ba kung anu-ano ang pinapasukan namin? hay…over and beyond the call of duty na to pero…

so less than 24 hours later (after my last public appearance…lol =) as emcee naman the day before) i find myself onstage again… this time though wala na akong lines…adlib or otherwise…

m just standing there looking pretty while holding a trophy… smiling at the cameras under the harsh glare of the lights… ok lets not get carried away here…cheska, give the trophy to the presenter… its time to give it to the awardees… it’s NOT yours… besides you’re not nakatatanda or uliran for that matter… =)

hay sobrang nakakapagod… it was successful naman… daming pumuntang elderly…hundreds… tapos daming guests…yung mga who’s who ng sector… civil society, religious, ibang politico former or future… may mga artista pa… we even had sarah geronimo to sing a couple of songs…we even had GMA7 cover the event

galing ng prod work kahit sobrang daming sabit… ok siguro aside from the minor glitches from the audience point of view…pero since i was backstage, i saw every thing that went wrong, yung panic, hassle, etc…daming pwedeng i-criticize pero ok naman (bawal mag complain ang hindi nag work!)…

sobrang nakakapagod pero masaya parin after…mga adik! sa picture etc… bonding…

this thing is almost over…

so i got home at 2:30 but for some reasons i went to bed at 4:30 which is crazy because i promised to emcee for a seminar a few hours ago (probably in a moment of madness) and call time was 7am…goodluck nalang…

we got there a little past 7… i was early kasi i doesn’t start untill 9am but then i didn’t have a script, no program and no CV of the speakers… so i got a copy of the program…thought about how i would do this thing…which would be mostly improv..

wala pa yung first speaker… wala pa din syang CV… pano ko kaya intro ito… so they suggested, i interview her the moment she arrived so i can do a proper intro…late sya… sobrang hectic…but that was nothing when i found out later that day na na-miss sched yung 2nd speaker at hindi dumating… i had to entertain more than a hundred people while waiting… hay… buti nalang m medyo trained for this thing… CD talaga is good for everything…

why did i get roped into this thing anyway? i mean marami naman akong ibang tita? where did they get the idea na ako pinaka-suited for things like this… shy daw kasi yung iba kong tita… ako hindi? madaldal daw ako ergo not shy… may sense ba yon? madaldal lang ako to people i know… not almost 200 strangers, mostly teachers pa…

…dahil mainit ulo ng mga tao…

i was so tired…i slept the whole game… nandun lang ako…sleeping kahit na maingay sila…

uwi na after…i have a full day tomorrow and i’ve less than 2 hours sleep

friday morning…

tita jenny: hey kix, you’re here! (its just past 8am, where else would i be?) are you going anywhere?

me: no, but i was… (planning on working on my case study but i didn’t get to finish my statement)

tita jenny: we’ll you are now. (no lang yata narinig nya)

me: why?

tita jenny: you’re coming with me to pgh, i need to get my car sticker (yep, kahit na its almost the end of the year)

me: uhmm… what time are you leaving?

tita jen: i take that as a yes ha… around ten…

me: hmmm… can we go visit jen?

tita jen: sure… then we can go to cubao to shop… i really want to buy a new bag (so i wont always be borrowing from you) and shoes… (take note that we were just shopping 2 days ago)

went to PGH…

naka salubong ko si IZ… oh right! UP parin pala ito… i forgot i might actually know people here… quite a lot of people if i put my mind to it… pero we stayed in the admin side…

waited for jen at popeyes sa rob (dun ang lunch kasi kuripot si tita jen, ok lang kasi its been ages since i last ate here, baka years, and i love shrimp… c jen first timer =) )

when we left the counter…

cheska?!? cheska?!?

turned around and saw jacky bouncing towards us (bouncing…sobrang excited)… akala daw nya nasa davao pa ako…etc… anyway, didn’t get to talk with her much kasi she was with other people hiwalay na tables and kumakain pa…  still, it was nice to see her again…

so i was there lunching with 2 doctor jen’s and all of a sudden…its a small world after all nanaman ang drama… syempre maraming kakilala in common yung dalawang jen kahit first time nila mag-uusap… jen is PGI, tita jen was PGI last year and starting her pre-res sa PGH din… muntik pa sila magkasabay ng rot…

i miss jenny… tagal ko na rin sya hindi nakikita… more than a year na for sure kasi sept ako umuwi ng davao and i havent seen her long before that… did i even see her last year?

anyway, its good to catch up with old friends…

so at around 4 nasa cubao nanaman kami… shopping… again!

i wasn’t in the mood and was walking around half blind (left my glasses sa bahay)… but that didn’t stop me from buying two more bags (that i absolutely don’t need) to add to the dozens (no exage) that i already have… sa sobrang tagal namin sa bags we didn’t get to look at shoes kasi we have to be somewhere for dinner… thank god! i just realized that i bought around 6 pairs of shoes (plus 5 pairs of slippers) nung summer sa liliw… most of it for myself… so don’t really need new shoes but that wouldn’t have stopped me if i saw a pair i liked…

sa 9th… it was past 8 pero wala pa most of the people and dinner was just being prepared…so i offered to prepare the mashed potatoes… (AP cream, cheese, butter, salt and pepper)  masarap daw… =)

on the menu: salad (garden greens with cheese and chicken, sarap ng dressing vinaigrette); pasta in garlic oil, shrimp popcorn, tuna with corn and mushrooms, kikiam…bread (toasted with butter or marmalade), ice cream, fruit salad… its a weird mix but i loved everything…=)

after dinner… cashflow…ang haba talaga ng game na ito, plus a million times more complicated… kailangan mo pa ng mga accountants at financial advisers… dahil marami kami we played it by teams/pairs para lahat kasali…=)

finally got home at 2:30am

i haven’t really been shopping in a long time… by shopping, i mean clothes shopping… oh i buy the occasional item… fine, its usually items… but i haven’t been to sales or anything lately and the most i’ve bought is half a dozen shirts (for field pa) in philcoa…

hay wala na kasi si haz… =)

anyway, nung wednesday… me and my tita’s spent the whole afternoon shopping and i went home with11 items…mga 5 hours yun na straight shopping… rack after rack, hanger after hanger not to mention tying up the fitting rooms for ages…lima kasi kami… i miss doing this pala kahit sobrang nakakapagod… besides sawa na ako sa clothes ko kahit i dont really go out that much anymore… (yeah right!)

went home with a huge grin on my face…
